Sen. Bernie Sanders says Fetterman ‘way out of touch’ with people of America
In a weekend interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders accused U.S. Sen. John Fetterman of being out of touch.

In the clip, “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker asked the Vermont senator about Fetterman’s criticism of Sanders for endorsing former Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner.
“My response to Fetterman is, the last time I saw it, he was reflecting the views of about 19 percent of the Democrats in the state of Pennsylvania,” Sanders said. “Fetterman does his thing, I think on Israel and many other issues, is way out of touch with the people of America.”
When pressed about whether he regretted endorsing Platner, Sanders called hindsight “Monday-morning quarterbacking.”
Sanders said Platner ran a strong campaign focused on issues that resonated nationally but withdrew after a woman made serious allegations against him.
