BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Sen. Bernie Sanders is scheduled to bring his “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” event to Bakersfield on Sunday, Oct. 4, with special guest Randy Villegas.
The event will be held at Harvey Auditorium at Bakersfield High School, 1241 G St, Bakersfield, CA 93304. Doors are set to open at 4 p.m., with the speaking program starting at 6 p.m.
Organizers said free parking will be available in the high school’s parking lots, with street parking also available along California Avenue.
Several items will not be permitted inside the venue, including signs and flags of any kind, weapons of any kind (including for attendees with open carry permits), hard water bottles, chairs of any kind (with ADA seating provided on-site), and bags larger than a fanny pack. Exceptions for larger bags will be made only for medical needs.
