Sanders, O’Rourke team up to boost Talarico in Texas
Sen. Bernie Sanders and Beto O’Rourke rally Texas Democrats in El Paso as Senate candidate James Talarico campaigns separately in North Texas.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., joined former Rep. Beto O’Rourke and other prominent Democrats at a rally in El Paso, Texas, as early voting began in the closely watched Senate race between Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton. O’Rourke voiced support for Talarico, who did not attend the event and instead held separate campaign appearances in North Texas. Sanders focused his remarks on wealthy political donors, economic inequality and the stakes of the midterm elections.
